6th Edition - Conference on Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing organized by TNTDPC of CII

Tamil Nadu Technology Development & Promotion Centre (TNTDPC) of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised the 6th Edition - Conference on Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing.

Thiru. B. Krishnamoorthy, IOFS, Special Secretary/Project Director, TIDCO delivered the Special Address at the Inaugural Session of the Conference. He talked about the initiatives undertaken by Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor for creating a conducive ecosystem for Aerospace and Defence (A&D) manufacturing industries in order to energize and sustain the growth potential of this sector in the state. Aerospace & Defence has been identified as one of the sunrise sectors by the Government of TN and a major thrust sector for self-reliance and indigenization.

TIDCO is planning to setup six thematic Industrial Parks in the state which will provide a plug and play ecosystem for the companies planning to expand or set up new industrial facilities related to the A&D sector. Apart from this setting up of COES, CFCs, testing centres will enable investments and create new employment opportunities in the state.

To support the manufacturing industries for self-reliance the incentives has been provided by Government of Tamil Nadu in the State's new Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy - such as incentives for make category projects, grants and special incentives for startups, etc.
