This establishment has been instrumental in producing pivotal components for the Rafale fighter jets, encompassing engine doors and canopies. Dassault Aviation's aspirations transcend this, as it envisions expanding its Indian presence to assemble the Rafale fighter jets themselves within the Nagpur plant.
This audacious ambition to locally manufacture Rafale jets aligns harmoniously with Dassault Aviation's strategic pursuits in the Indian Air Force's (IAF) Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) tender. This endeavor bears the potential to not only elevate India's aerospace prowess but also to reconfigure the global supply chain paradigm. Through the proposition of Made in India Rafale jets, Dassault endeavors to recalibrate timelines and streamline production, setting the stage for the inaugural locally assembled Rafales to grace the skies as early as 2028, significantly ahead of initial prognostications.
The zeal underlying Dassault's endeavor finds further testament in its aspirations to introduce advanced Rafale iterations, including the Rafale F4 and F5, by 2030.
