Godrej Aerospace will manufacture 8 modules of DRDO turbojet engine

Godrej Aerospace, an Indian private company, has received an order to manufacture eight modules of the DRDO's turbojet engine, making it the first private Indian company to secure such an order.

Godrej Aerospace, a business unit of Godrej & Boyce, has become the first Indian private company to receive an order for manufacturing eight modules of the DRDO engine for aerial applications, according to an announcement made by the company on Monday.

Godrej Aerospace secured the order to manufacture the DRDO engine modules by beating out more than 25 other companies, thanks to its strong infrastructure, expertise in working with unique materials, decades of experience in producing liquid

According to Godrej Aerospace, winning the order to manufacture the DRDO engine modules creates new opportunities for future projects to be produced in India.

Maneck Behramkamdin, the AVP & Business Head of Godrej Aerospace, stated that winning the project is a testament to the company's capabilities and expertise in the aerospace sector.

He also noted that this achievement reinforces their commitment to making India self-reliant in aerospace manufacturing.engines for rockets, and its service to global aviation majors.
