A high-level meeting on the security situation in Manipur was convened at North Block, the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Monday. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Indian Army, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Manipur Police.

Present at the meeting were Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Vice Chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, Commander of the Spear Corps Lieutenant General Shahi, Director General of the Assam Rifles, and Director General of Police Kuldeep Singh. Security Advisor and other agency officials were also in attendance.

However, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh did not attend the meeting. The meeting aimed to discuss the ongoing security challenges in Manipur and to devise strategies to address them effectively.

The meeting comes at a time when the security situation in Manipur has been a cause for concern due to various incidents of violence and insurgency in the region. The Indian Army and other security agencies have been working to maintain peace and stability in the area, and this meeting is expected to further strengthen their efforts[1][2][3][4][5].
