The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully flight tested the indigenously developed ITCM (Integrated Test Range) missile from Launch Complex-III at ITR (Integrated Test Range), Balasore in Odisha. The test took place today.

The launch of the ITCM missile, which was fitted with an upgraded radio frequency seeker, follows a failed test of the weapon in October of last year. The date of the successful test has not been specified.

The ITCM (Integrated Test Range) technology demonstrator, developed by the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) lab of DRDO, utilized the sub-sonic cruise missile Nirbhay platform to validate the STFE (Small Turbofan Engine) of 450 KGF thrust class.
