"Two illegal Pakistani drones recovered"

The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered two illegal Pakistani drones from the Ferozepur and Fazilka districts along the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab today.[1][2]

The first drone, a Chinese-made DJI Mavic-3 Classic, was found in an agricultural field near Lakha Singh Wala village in Ferozepur. Attached to the drone was a packet containing 500 grams of heroin, wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and tied with a metal wire.[2]

In a separate incident in Amritsar, the BSF recovered another Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone along with a 420-gram packet, believed to be carrying heroin, in the border village of Chaklabaksh. The packet was also wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.[2]

The BSF stated that its troops observed the drones' blinking lights in the border area and tracked their movements, leading to the recoveries. No further details have been provided about the origin or intended use of these drones.[1][2]

The seizure of these illegal Pakistani drones highlights the ongoing efforts by Indian security forces to monitor and prevent cross-border smuggling activities along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab.[1][2][3][4][5]
